Dear Mr.Patrick,

How are you and the kids doing? I know it has been a long time since the last time I talked to you, but believe me, I always keep you and our home close to my heart :-) I miss Mrs. Anna’s soup and a lake behind our orphanage in summer :-)

I am doing great. Yesterday, Mrs. Violet even gave me an A for my Math assignment. She also said I was the best student she had so far. Charlie is doing fine also; he’s actually sleeping under my bed now ;)) The boy is so naughty these days, always trying to jump into my bed. Anyway, I am writing this letter to tell you that I will attend the national math competition for primary students early this August. Yes, me, Cynthia Coates!

Daddies are so happy with this new that they decide to take me to Disney World this weekend. Michael even allows me to stay up until 11pm on Saturday next week. I was so surprised with his decision that I couldn’t speak. You know how he always makes me go to bed at nine o’clock, right? Sam is much better; if I finish my assignments before dinner, he would let me stay up until thirty past nine ;)).Don’t get me wrong, I love them both: D It’s just easy to sneak around with Sam than with Michael ;))

When Sam saw a picture which Jonathan sent me in English class, I thought he would scold me. But after one hour, all I knew were that we were lying on the floor, munching Oreos and talking about crushes. We didn’t let Michael know about our conversation though; Sam said it was a secret between us. It was Michael’s loss for not coming home earlier: P. But I felt bad after that, so I told Michael in the next day and made him admit that I am the best daughter on the world :D

I am so happy to have Sam and Michael in my life. They never fight with each other, unlike Jessica’s parents living across the street. They are kind to poor people too. In our living group, there is a penny holder which we will collect every Sunday to help those which are abandoned like Charlie before.
I have to come back to my assignments now otherwise I would have to go to bed at nine again tonight :-) I’ll talk to you later, Patrick.

Love you,

Cynthia Coates.
